The project involved the transformation of the separate existing kitchen, dining and living areas into a more funtional open plan space with better light, scale and connection to a sunny rear couryard. The original bespoke stone chimney, which had previously been out of scale in the living room, was now in harmony and the focal point of the room. A new kitchen, double glazing and expanded clerestory windows transformed this part of the house into a warm, light filled sunny room ideal for contemporary living.
